Why Give
Since February 2011, H.Y.P.E., Inc. has been recognized as its own 501(c)3 organization, and is governed by an independent volunteer board of directors. H.Y.P.E.’s goal is to provide passionate and skilled mentors to its participants, leadership development training, educational tutoring programs, workforce development training, life skills and college preparatory classes to youth and young adults in Jefferson Parish and the surrounding area. H.Y.P.E. sustains its effort through hosting fundraisers, selling promotional material, and private or public donations. The organization is still in its grassroots stages and is currently making aggressive efforts to grow and establish H.Y.P.E. as an agent of change in the community. In 2015 H.Y.P.E. began hosting monthly mentoring sessions with young men and women, sponsoring an amateur basketball team, and provide training and leadership development to local entrepreneurs and community leaders.
H.Y.P.E’s desire is to maximize its efforts by establishing paid staff to be dedicated to the growth of the organization’s mission and vision. With your donation H.Y.P.E. will be able to increase its efforts in recruiting and training for the mentor program, provide workforce development, life skills, and leadership training to the youth and families of our community.
